Your Relationship Doesn’t Exist in a Vacuum

Spread the love

It’s tempting to believe that if a couple can achieve perfect internal harmony, they can conquer anything. But even in a hypothetical scenario where two people never argue and exist in complete alignment, their relationship is not an island. It exists within a larger world full of unpredictable challenges. There will always be “circumstances in life outside of you that you have to deal with.”

This is a critical distinction. A strong relationship isn’t defined by its ability to avoid problems—an impossible feat—but by its capacity to face external trials and tribulations together. Job loss, health crises, family struggles—these are not signs of a flawed relationship, but tests of its collaborative spirit. The goal isn’t to build a fortress against the world, but to become a team that can weather any storm that comes its way.
