Someone Prayed for Me at Midnight — And It Changed Everything

Spread the love

The midnight hour is spiritual ground. In this excerpt from Midnight Prayer, I reflect on the power of intercession, the prayers we didn’t know were covering us, and why praying for others at midnight still matters today.

There are some who don’t have the heart to pray, but they still need prayer. And I’m so thankful that someone prayed for me when I was growing up.

When I was in a dark place—on drugs, drinking bottles of wine every night, trying to drown my pain and numb myself—I didn’t know how to cry out to God. But someone else did.

Thank God that someone was praying for me. And now I’m here at the midnight hour to return the favor. To pray for someone else who needs deliverance, who needs healing, who needs Jesus.

The midnight hour is important in the Bible. David prayed in the midnight watches. At midnight in Egypt, God moved to deliver His people. And tonight, we cry out to the Lord again—believing that His Word will not return void.
