✨ God Gives Skill: The Spirit of Skill Placed Inside You

Spread the love

Let’s go to Exodus 28.

“Then bring near to you Aaron your brother and his sons with him… to serve me as priests.”

And then verse three:

“You shall speak to all the skillful, whom I have filled with a spirit of skill, that they make Aaron’s garments to consecrate him for my priesthood.”

“You shall speak to all the skillful whom I have filled with the spirit of skill.”

It is God who gives us skill.

We call them gifts, things that just naturally come to us. Abilities placed inside of us when we were formed in our mother’s womb.

Jeremiah says the Lord formed us in the womb. And as He formed us, He placed certain skills inside of us.

We each deliver something to the earth. We serve humanity. We express our soul through the skills God put inside of us.

One of my skills is writing, songwriting. I wrote my first song when I was nine years old. No one taught me. I gathered my cousins, taught it to them, and performed it for my family. A whole production.

That skill was already there.

If no one taught you how to do something and you just know how to do it, someone put that inside of you.

It’s not magic.

It’s God.

It’s the Spirit of God.

It’s the pure beaten olives that were crushed so He could pour His skill inside of you by His Holy Spirit.

That’s why we call it a gift because we didn’t have to work for it.

Yes, we can improve upon our skills. I’ve taken songwriting seminars and classes. But the basic skill was already there.

Different people have different skills and that’s good. We don’t all need the same skill.

So let’s not move into covetousness. Let’s stay pure. Let’s stay holy. With the help of the Holy Spirit, allow Him to work through you.

Get into the presence of the Lord. Stay with Him.

And shine.
