God told Moses, “My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” Oh, that’s beautiful. My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest. And Moses said, how will it be known that I have found favor in Your sight unless You go with us? It’s Your presence that makes us distinct from every other people on the face of the earth. And the Lord said, “This very thing that you have spoken I will do, for you have found favor in My sight, and I know you by name.”
And it reminds me of Israel today. The presence of the Lord is what makes the difference. It is His presence that gives rest, that gives favor, that protects. Where there is His presence, there is fullness of joy. At His right hand are pleasures forevermore. Don’t send us, Lord, without Your presence. Don’t send Your people into anything without being with them.
The presence of the Lord is a calm and a peace that is unexplainable. Go in the presence of the Lord. The presence of the Lord be with you.
